The Augusta Spa Resort **** Deluxe has two buildings 60 metres apart which share all their services, and which are situated 600 metres from Silgar Beach and 250 metres from Sanxenxo city centre. It has 107 en-suite rooms (Family suites, Junior suites and double rooms), all of them overlooking Pontevedra Bay and fully equipped with complete bathroom, hair-dryer, heated towel-rail, TV with satellite dish and TDT, phone, minibar, DVD, closed-circuit radio, safety box, PlayStation 2, PlayStation3, Solvida Waters as a courtesy of the house, Sybarite corner and individual climate-control unit. Its premises also have a heated outdoor swimming-pool, paddle ground, mini-golf, communal area with library, meeting and convention rooms, hairdressers, two à la carte restaurants, two indoor coffee-shops and a third one outside by the swimming pool, gardens, the “Augusta Spa” centre, pets' care service (please ask for availability), and it is the biggest Spa centre in Galicia.
Being slightly outside the centre of Sanxenxo has a double advantage. On the one hand, and not surprisingly, there is less activity in its environment. And secondly, it is surrounded by greenery and single-family homes here and there. Anyway, the booming village is right there, with its crowded promenade and the beach of Silgar, with 750 linear meters of sand, parking, disabled access, dustbins, cleaning service, toilets and showers. If the body craves a risk-free adventure, we can take the modern boats departing daily from Sanxenxo at Easter and in the summer. They link regularly the mainland and the island of Ons, included in the National Park Atlantic Islands, as well as other beaches. Nearby, about twenty minutes' drive, we find the monastery of Armenteira, the starting point of a beautiful hiking trail very well signposted. Also, in the bottom of the territory, there are several wineries with the designation of origin Rías Baixas.
