Restaurante O Grelo is a reference of the gastronomy of Monforte de Lemos (Lugo). Located in the monumental area of the city in a medieval fortress building, it has a beautiful cellar excavated in natural rock, with a constant natural temperature of 13º (degrees Celsius). It has four dining rooms of different capacities, decorated with simplicity and elegance, according to the history of the building, which gives it a cozy atmosphere. The cuisine is characterized by the commitment to Galician products, with an exquisite selection of raw materials, which focuses on traditional elaborations, with soft and light cooking. In the hunting season, the preparations of quail, duck or pheasant stand out. The winery has more than 200 references of all Spanish denominations of origin, with special attention to the wines of the Ribeira Sacra, among which Don Bernardino stands out, which is presented as the house wine.
